The Wild Roadshow

Yesterday the "Wild Roadshow" came to visit us. Our visitor brought KS1 lots of animals that live in the rainforest that we could look at, touch and even hold!! Here are some pictures that capture the session:

Why don't we have rainforests in England?
Amelia - "rainforests are only in hot places"

Sally the Giant African Snail
Hannah "Sally is slimy"

Kade "Sally is slippery and slimy"

Eddy the Giant Hissing Cochroach
"How old is he?" asked Charlie.
He is 1 year old and could live until 10 years old. He is an adult at 1 year old.

We all felt Eddy's hard skeleton.

 Rosie the Chille Rose Tarantula

Rosie does not like being touched so we looked closely at her instead. She has 8 legs and 8 eyes!

The Millipede
Oliver - "it is tickling my hands!"

The Bearded Dragon
"his skin feels rough"
The class voted the bearded dragon as their favourite animal of the day!
